OUR STORY

Why The Culture Club Exists

The Culture Club was born from a simple idea: life feels richer when we experience culture together.

In a world increasingly lived online, we wanted to create something intentionally human, evenings that encourage people to slow down, get dressed up (or not), try something different, and reconnect through shared experiences.

Too often, incredible performances, restaurants, and cultural moments are overlooked because organising a night out feels overwhelming, expensive, or difficult to coordinate.

The Culture Club changes that.

Every event is designed to remove the friction and elevate the experience, blending hospitality, performance, surprise, and community into one thoughtfully curated evening.

ABOUT TANYA

After years working in the creative industry surrounded by storytelling, design, and cultural experiences, Tanya recognised something missing in adult life: intentional social connection.

She noticed that people had shifted their attendance to sports, big ticket concerts or at home streaming and saw that some of her beloved performing arts were struggling. Alongside this she noticed many of her favourite restaurants shutting doors and wanted to try and do something even if small to keep culture in NZ alive and thriving.

The Culture Club was her answer. It combines her love of creativity, hospitality, thoughtful experiences, and bringing people together in meaningful ways.

Part cultural concierge, part social club, part curated adventure. The Culture Club exists to help people experience more of cultural life, together.
